Veterinarian Medicine

Just Added!

Calling all animal lovers and aspiring veterinarians!

Focusing on dogs, cats, birds, and horses, we will learn how to care for the well-being of our pets. Looking at and touching hearts, brains and eyes, and dissecting a frog, we will learn about the anatomy of pets and discover how alike and different they are from us. As vets-in-training, we will learn how to diagnose and treat common medical conditions such as parasites, administer first aid /CPR, and perform mock neutering, surgeries, and injections.

Staying healthy is very important for pets. That is why we will learn about a healthy diet, weight management of pets, cage cleaning, and daily walks.
The fun does not stop there! We will learn to train using skills such as Shake, Bow, Spin, Wipe your Paws, and more.
On the last day of camp, we will meet your pets and parents at the nearby park (if available) and perform a medical exam, putting to use all that we learned!

Sedona Ewbank Ph.DStanford University

Led bySedona Ewbank Ph.D Stanford University

Sedona’s earliest passions were creative writing and math. But everything changed in high school, when an inspiring chemistry teacher revealed the beauty and wonder of science. Her psychology class captivated her even more—especially the study of how mental illnesses shape identity and cause profound suffering. She wanted to understand these conditions deeply and contribute to meaningful solutions. That curiosity grew into a calling, and she now dedicates her life to advancing neuroscience.

Sedona has conducted neuroscience research at the University of Washington, Stanford University, and the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland. At Stanford, she taught university students and led outreach programs for middle schoolers, sharing her love of science with the next generation.

She holds a B.S. in Neurobiology and Biochemistry from the University of Washington and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Stanford University.
