Anatomy and Kinesiology
Wouldn’t it be gross, but great, if we could unzip our skin and take a quick peek inside our body to see a moving muscle or a beating heart? For practical reasons, we will instead look inside other organisms such as squid, shrimp, frogs, rats, chickens, sheep, and pigs. As we dissect hearts, muscles, kidneys, bones, ligaments, and more, a visual picture of their purpose and function will become more evident. During our own Olympic Games, as we run and jump, we will feel and measure the parts of our bodies we learned about. By the end of this week of anatomy and sport, you will be smarter, stronger, and fitter!
