LEGO Robotics Mindshtorm

Get a head start by exploring the world of building and programming using the worldwide standard of youth robotics – EV3 LEGO. You will design, build, program, test, and modify robots to complete assigned tasks and compete in the FIRST Lego League (FLL) City Shaper challenge. We will build additional robots such as a worm robot and challenge each other with robot soccer. Our construction project will teach us basic concepts such as potential and kinetic energy, balance, center of gravity, and ratchet mechanisms. We will work to improve our projects by observing their performance and experimenting with incremental changes.

Led byJared Sinasohn

Jared always loved to build with LEGO blocks but it was thanks to his inspirational instructors that he decided to focus on robotics. His LEGO creations models at home include R2D2, Ferrari F40 and a Lamborghini Miura that he built from scratch. For the past three years, Jared has been a member of the award-winning CardinalBotics Robotics team at Lowell High school.

Jared has been teaching robotics and engineering at Celsius for the past four years.  He previously was a TA at two camps.  He is currently an engineering student at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly).
