Top Chef – Dumplings from around the World
What do all cultures have in common? Dumplings!
Just like us, dumplings come in many shapes, flavors, and cooking styles. We will cook our way into different cultures by steaming, boiling, frying and baking dumplings. We will wrap our dumplings with flour, cornmeal, rice, and tapioca dough.
From familiar dumplings such as Japanese gyoza, Italian ravioli, and Russian pelmeni to the less familiar but equally delicious Hungarian shlishkes, Hawaiann manapua, and Jewish knishes, you will be your family’s international Top Chef!
These dumplings are a delicious way to celebrate our differences and commonalities!
Ingredients will be mostly vegetarian, with some chicken and beef. No shellfish or pork will be used.
The camp will be led on Mondays and Tuesdays by Andee Vo, and by Lena Gold on Wednesdays – Fridays.
