Drivers Wanted: Porsche 911 Race Car
Mechanical Engineering
Under the hood of every vehicle is a complex and mysterious engine. We will demystify this magnificent machine by having you build your own car from start to finish!
Using more than 2,700 pieces of LEGO TECHNICTM, you will build an awesome, motorized Porsche 911 GT3 RS race car. In the process, you will examine the theory and mechanics of an engine with moving pistons, suspension springs, brake calipers, steering rack, and gearbox. Your completed product will give you a new appreciation and understanding of the science behind this high-performance automobile.
The drivable version of the Porsche 911 cost $1.1 million. Campers, however, have the option at sign-up to purchase their completed car for $100 during sign-up. First come, first served. Quantities limited.
