woodworking - Redwood chair
Discover the full power of your hands by building a redwood lounge chair and a matching stool. This hands-on, project-oriented camp includes the full range of furniture making skills. You will hammer, saw, screw, sand, and drill to your heart’s content as you turn a pile of wood into a work of function and beauty. You will understand how perfection is achieved by working through problems with your hands. You will literally leave your mark on the chair by using etching, stamping, and staining. At the end of the week, you will take your chair home and obtain new abilities to handle tools with the same expertise you handle your cell phone!
Kids will use handsaws, hammers, drills, screwdrivers, files, and other tools. Electric saws are excluded.
